What's Happening with Southland....
Southland has been going through some recent changes for the group. We have been without the smooth vocals of our baritone singer, Keith Bradley, due to his doctor discovering a tumor that affected his hearing ability. This has required a battery of radiation and chemotherapy treatments. By the time you read this article, he should have completed these and all indicators are looking very positive for success. To those of you who are already aware of his condition, we thank you for your prayers. We thank God for his healing power and look forward to Keith’s return to the group
.
Southland is still available to minister in song at your church or event, although on a limited schedule, due to work restraints. We are now booking for April and July 2010. We would love to come and worship with you in song at your church or any family or faith-based function you are planning.
If you remember Uncle Bert, our former bass singer who retired, he has volunteered his services as baritone to allow us to continue our ministry. Bert was the baritone vocalist for Deliverance Quartet back in the 60’s and 70’s.
Our most recent appearance with Uncle Bert was at New Beginnings Church in the north Tampa area, at the request of Larry and Iris Cox, who are also part of the Gospel Post Family, and have a great duet ministry. Our thanks to Pastor John Garbreana for hosting us and for the invitation to return in October.
To our great friend, Tommy Thigpen – our heartfelt prayers and love go out to you, your family, and most especially, your daughter, as she goes through this time of trial. We fully understand how the devil can attack us from every side. We pray for God’s healing for her according to His will for her life and testimony.
Keep looking up! We love you!
